Order of Precedence and Awards

Baronial Awards

Guardant Ram, Order of the
The Order shall be given to individuals who, in the sight of the Barons and/or Baronesses, have performed outstanding service and dedication to the Barony itself or to a Canton within the Barony.
Members of the Order shall have the right to bear the badge: Per chevron sable and argent a brown ram’s head caboshed proper armed Or.

Salient Hart, Order of the
The Order shall be given to individuals who, in the sight of the Barons and/or Baronesses, have distinguished themselves by their long-terms efforts in Arts and Sciences.
Members of the Order shall have the right to bear the badge: (Fieldless) A hart courant azure.

Defender of Andelcrag
The Order shall be given to individuals who, in the sight of the Barons and/or Baronesses, exhibited outstanding prowess or have performed outstanding service in the training and authorizing of combatants (Rattan, Rapier and Archery) for the Barony.

Defender of the Tower
The Order shall be given to individuals who, in the sight of the Barons and/or Baronesses, exhibited service to the Barony above and beyond what is seen as typical.
Members of the Order shall have the right to bear the badge: Sable, on a pile inverted argent a tower sable, a bordure embattled Or.

Award of the Butterfly (La Ricompensa della Farfalla)
The Award shall be given at the discretion of the Barons and/or Baronesses.

The Butterfly is a Baronial Award developed by Thegn Edward Aelredson and Baroness Genevieve Rose de Glendalough during the term of Baron Thorfinn Grimkelsson and Baroness Brighid ni Caernaigh at their request.

The Butterfly was created in honor of Baron Byron della Farfalle.

The three butterflies symbolized the three things for which he was known: Arts, Sciences, and Service. He was an exceptional tailor, brewer, and served wherever he could.  The award was originally to be given for those who excelled in those three categories.

Members of the Award shall have the right to bear the badge: Or, three monarch butterflies proper within a bordure purpure.

Gem of the Mountain
The Gem shall be given to youth by the Barons and/or Baronesses to recognize the accomplishments of the youth of the Barony in service, arts and sciences, and fighting.

Award of the Bolt
Or, two lightning bolts in saltire sable.
